This is a pretty interesting place to be in, despite the language barried, so far it's good. Great food, helpful people, SNOW!.. ok.. gtg
Amazingly.. now I arrive at Slovakia and it snowed! My first snow... darn cool! But darn cold too. THanks Danny & mum & dad & siblings. =) Thank u
Merry christmas everyone! I've actually
almost finished blogging until some stupid error & I lost everything.. so this is my second attempt. I received my first (and second) christmas present from underneath 2 real christmas trees for the first (and second) time in life. Really thankful for that. I had the chance to celebrate christmas in real european (german & slightly hungarian) style with Family Schmid and Family Rermann. I was totally surprised when they actually prepared presents for me! I was really very touched. Family Schmid gave me this pair of lovely pink gloves after knowing that my gloves were not warm enough. Thank you. Family Rermann gave me lots of food and this useful "Schwäbisch" (german dilect) dictionary. Although I am away from home this christmas, I'm really glad that I had the chance to spend it not alone. Really miss home.
Met up with Danny just now, ya I'm currently in Austria, Vienna. Thanks Danny for asking his friend to host me =)
Sorry about the Salami pizza incident. It really slipped my mind that Salami is pork. Thankfully I didn't do anything too wrong.
Just 2+ hours into my 12hour flight, I'm back online! Wee! So much so for paying so much for this Ticket.. it's starting to look real worth it! I'm blogging on the plane for the first time! OMG! This is really for the record.. MAN!! If not because the whole cabin is dark, I would have taken a photo of myself and post it here now!
Just ate my supper and I wonder how long my laptop battery will last. I've heard of people telling me that the battery life on flight is actually shorter than usual.. I wonder how true is it.
Anyway, thank you guys for coming to send me off =) It's really nice to see you all before I fly. I know it's really late.. and I really appreciate you guys coming down. Jian Huang, Max, Teng Hui, Qiu Lin & bf, Peggy, Shu Hui, Ying Fong, SingPei (ok, abt the real last minute thing =) ), Peiyu, Zhen Hao, Yok, Weiyang. Thank you.
To Peg & girls, about the lip gloss, hahaa.. I lied. I just bought 3.. you know, agaration? Haa... my 6th sense is quite 准then!
Dear Jian Huang, sorry about the rushing in.. I didn't know you had something to tell me.. Arrgghh.. =( Ok la, email about it, else we can Skype! =) Thanks for everything. I'll keep to my promise, so do you, k? =) Anyway, I watched Step Out just now ! =) Remember? The movie I've wanted to catch but didn't.. the dancing one.. =) It's really nice.. nice dancing and such..
I guess I better take a look at www.diebahn.de later to check out which train I need to take to get to Stuttgart.Yup, anyone with Skype, add me xxinli@hotmail.com
Let me post this first before I try to upload the photos.. Battery's running low I guess.. haa.. Love you guys~
Ok, my laptop's batt is dying.. shall get offline and sleep and beat the jet lag later. Muacks!
peace in the mind, peace in the soul.
Today has been a very enjoyable day. =) First of all, I got my Backpack =) 45+10 Litres. Bahahaa.. so much so for thinking of using my brother's backpack, end up I have to get a new one (much smaller & lighter). Then after was a nice Ballet Performance La Sulphide by the Singapore Dance Theater at Esplanade. Thank you Jian Huang for the arty-farty treat. I love it. It's been real long since my first/last Ballet Production.
Call it fate or what, after a bit of hasitation, we eventually went to his friend, Jason's belated birthday celebration at Dohby Ghaut. That's where I found my black woolen jacket! =) THank yoU! Yup, things happen for a reason.
Lastly, was the long awaited Chocolate Buffet at the Fullerton Hotel. =) I've been wanting to try it since JC canoeing days, and finally after almost 4 years, I'm finally there. Nice ambiance, nice music, great company & delicious chocolates. =) I like the chocolate drink where I get to choose the percentage of Cacao and they'll melt it in milk for me. The 72% one was my favourite!
This is a real great, however, sinnful and expansive meal. However, I believe, I should at least try it once in my life. Once is enough. Haahaa... 3 years later! I'll remember that.
Today has been really great. Thank you so much. =)
Went back to Hwa Chong Junior College Institution (sigh) to play basketball with my fellow 02s67 people! =) Ok, I'm sorry that I was late. It just really spoilt my day when I woke up to find all my plans for the day screwed up! Therefore it took me a while before I re-organise my feeling before I step out of house. In all, it was enjoyable =)
I was kind of tired on Tuesday that I didn't really blog about it. Finally, I went to Vivocity with my mum =) I knew she had wanted to go there, so, despite (me) being there like 3 times (already) since last monday, I still went. Heh heh... bought my Long John, Cashmere Socks & Gloves. Brought her to eat Thai Express too =) However, the Crayfish Green Laksa was really slightly too hot for her liking. On the whole, it's was pretty nice =) The day ended off with nice Gelato ice cream!
Then Wednesday (today), went to see Jian Huang's little niece - Jiayi. Well, yours truly here calls here Pinky. Just look at what she's wearing!
Luckily her eyes are big, else imagine how sad she might be when she grows up. Haahaa.. joking. (runs away).
Anyway, bought another web cam today to bring over to Germany. Realized that the previous one (and I managed to lugged it to Taiwan) was really way too big almost 3 times the size of the new one! Today was basically a purchasing day with Jian Huang. Pens, papers, solutions, vitamins, webcam and the list goes on, and I'm still not done with it. I guess I shall have to continue with it tomorrow (later) or on Friday. Oh ya, Mac Donald's out with Hello Kitty again! We were walking off in search of some food, until I suddenly caught sight of the different colours of Kitties sitting in the transparent box by the Mac's Window. Ha.. of course I pulled him over and we ended up eating Happy Meal! I'm not a totall Hello Kitty fan, but, I do love cute stuffs this these. Haa... I've got the
some of the previous Mac's Hello Kitties too. Thanks Liang Kwang! (that's really so long ago, nevertheless, I didn't forget)
Shall end off today's entry with this quiz I did after I did the other quiz which I saw on Joan's blog.
Your Kissing Purity Score: 80% Pure
You've hardly ever been kissed
But the kisses you've given are very missed
Very missed? Oh really? *shrugs*
It was like the first time I started asking funny questions, even those that I get curious about, or just asking for the sake of asking (cos I like to). Call me weird, but I do enjoy listening to all those past experiences, be it extreme happiness or sadness. I just want to know. And strangely, I felt kind of sad for you. No, it's not pity. It's just feeling the same emotion you're feeling. My tears were brimming when you were talking about ur September 2002. Man, you're really very lucky. Haa.. I'm really getting envious. Not sure if you've noticed, I didn't really answer one of your questions. (I'm not even sure if u'll even get down to read this entry, or even this blog) Well, I guess nobody will really like the idea of that (though I know some have higher threshold). Do I mind or not? I don't like it, perhaps that's equivalent to 'yes, i mind'. However, I know the answer's actually quite irrelevant. Cos it's not going to change anything, I believe so. I rather you be honest with me. Do let me know if you happen to read this.
Anyway, it was an enjoyable conversation =) Haa.. if memories do get limited to physical space, I guess selling ur dear 323 will erase all those memories inside it. *shrugs* Hope there'll still be space for my existance in the to-come 1000litre when I'm back & when you're back. Hopefully it won't be too overcrowded by other memories by then. But perhaps, it's a good choice also. Just in case, you know, if things go bad, no bad memories will creep back when you drive. Haaa.. LIke you said, anything is not really constant, except the family.
Mum's so dead right, yes I'm too emotional. That's not good. There's simply too much tear wailing out of my slightly bigger than average eyes every now and then. Sigh.
On a more positive note, through such question, I got to know some new stuff. =) However, I felt abit the "How come you didn't tell me/mention to me before?" for one part. I'm not sure why. Kind of saddening, however, on a more positive note, at least I know now. Better than never. Ok, perhaps I should tell you this again, after I blog.
Anyway, I finally did what I've always wanted to do today! I was at Starbucks in Changi Airport T2, happily doing my own stuff on my laptop, plus writing some Christmas cards. Totally no stress, not worrying about anything.
After that, I did went to Tampines IKEA! Hotdog & Curry Puff got gobbled down by us. Well, I think it's badly situated and I believe it would probably be my first and last time there. Nothing special. Except that you run the risk
of driving back to Jurong via TPE, easily. Dinner was good with meatballs and the delicious Daim Cake!! Thanks for coming. =)
Shall paste my partial entry here, which I did on MS Word this morning:
Date: Monday, December 11, 2006
Location: Changi Airport Terminal 2, Starbucks
It’s 12:46 pm now and I suppose brother’s flight would have taken off by now. It’s pretty crazy to actually linger around the airport by myself. Well, impulsive me decided to tag along this morning and plant myself here with my laptop and some Christmas cards to spend my time, until Ryan’s free later in the day. No worries, I have lots in my plan. If I’m done with my stuff before he’s free, I’ll travel down to Tampiness’
IKEA and take a look. After all, I’m in the East now. I should, by right, take the chance to take a look at the East before I fly. Yes, before I fly. I’m flying off next Tuesday! One week has fly by since my last paper and I guess I’m still short of time to accomplish whatever I want. Ok, at least now I’m fulfilling one of my little crazy wish of drinking coffee and hanging out (lazily) doing my stuff. No need to worry about what time to go home to mug or assignments to finish. Just laze here, with my Tall Latte and Uglier Curry Puff – my brunch. Yosafat mentioned that Brother’s a bit weird today – don’t really want to go back to Taiwan, just like how he didn’t want to go back. I think I’m starting to feel that too. OMG… my eyes are getting watery.
Currently I’m sipping my Latte and organising my files in my laptop. Hope that I’ll be done with all this organising and get down to burn them into DVD tonight.
oMg! I still cannot believe that I was shopping at Mustafa at 2+am mid night, instead of sleeping! Look at my sleepy eyes! Anyway, this is crazy. I've never known that this place is so HUGE! 4 Storeys plus a basement and opens 24 hours and looks just like a warehouse! Comes with mouses also! I so happened to see one scurried across. There's so mUCH things in there,
and I would love to return and explore the place again (although there's far too many darker skin tone friends around, making me feel slightly insecure). I was backpacks too! When my cousin bought this grey and pink lugguage, I was so So SO tempted to buy one for my germany trip.. I saw Hush Puppies! It's probably a fake one for $79, but it looks really cute! BaH! THank you Ryan for being so nice to bring us around! =) I felt like a tourist for once, in Singapore, taking photos with the Merlion and shopping for souvenirs. It's a pity that we didn't go to St. James Power Station, since today I'm not under the Cinderella 12am constrain (no need to rush home). I wonder when I'll be able to go.. chances of going there before I left seems so HIghLy impossible leh. SIGH. The crazy shopping ended around 3am and hahah... they bought the most stuff from Mustafa! I hope I'll be able to wake up on time for my JC class lunch later.. come with me!!
