Just really really happy! See.. I'm jumping in happiness!
Anyway, Big Thanks to Flo & Vanessa for the invitation =) Had fun with eating the varies crêpes!
Oh yes.. I woke up at 3am this wee morning to check my NUS exam results..
I'm GRADUATING!
Thanks for letting me pass dear prof Xu! Hahaa.. =) Didn't do especially well this sem except for the A- donated by prof Xu for the fyp and my hard earned A- for French 2!! Totally exhilarated that I can get A- for french 2 despite being so much slack-er for French 2, compared to the effort I put in for French 1. Merci M. Yannick! Of course, EE3406 is as usual a lousy grade and I'm s\u-ing my B range SS and Arts gem =P hahaa.. not like it'll make any difference to my CAP.. just want to do my first s\u exercise of my 4 years nus life!
Congrats my dear! I'm totally proud of you to get ur 2nd upper! See you back in Singapore in another 2 weeks time!
Hier à Sète
Thanks to Vanessa =) I've got photos! As I said, it was raining like crazy! So we decided to have a nice and long lunch at a Restaurant.
We started off with white wine, which I thought was good! Look at the background.. the interior looks really nice and "fishie". =)
After that, we had our appetizers followed by the main course. Mine's some seafood pie.. I didn't know it comes with a whole fish and rice!
Finally... our desserts! Floating Island!! Niceeee... but I really prefer the water around the island more than the island itself! Cos the island is like mashmellow.. very airy... while the water is abit like milk and custard and egg!! Like that! At the bottom of is a layer of caramel!
Then... finally on the train home to Montpellier... well.. the sky cleared up as we headed home... CRAP! Hahaa.. Fernn was cold so I wrapped her up with my favourite Burberry scarf =)
That's all for yesterday!
Aujourd'hui à Montpellier à une Crêperie
For lunch... Fernn, Vanessa and moi went around town searching for a restaurant "Tomate".. but we didn't find it and settled for a nice crêperie instead! Hahaa.. it was a pleasant surprise.. nice crêpes!! Main course salty crêpe, dessert sweet crêpe and a glass of Cidre! Nice!
Oh yes.. it's my turn to present tomorrow and I'm going to present about the beach town, Nice. Hope all goes well.. and I better go and get started with preparing!!
=) Like talking to you!
ps: I did some shopping today and bought denim shorts.. endlich!!!
Bonsoir tout le monde! I just came home like 1 hour ago from a visit to a nearby harbour town, Sète, with Zimei, Vanessa and Fernn. =) It was nice travelling with them, despite the wind and rain! Il pleuvait. But, but, we made use of the bad situation and took comical photos... haha.. with the grey skies, strong waves, irritating drizzlings and umbrella and us, being chinese girls -- we took a lot of photos. Not surprising huh?
Of course, the photos we took are not any of these that I posted here... because I'm using my host dad's computer and I can't upload my photos. I got these from Vanessa via facebook.( thank god for facebook, je t'aime! ) These photos are taken during my first week of my immersion stay at Montpellier! Eating the-not-cheap-ice-cream-at-all-and-it's-even-cheaper-in-germany-! and also the nice nice crêpes at the crêperie at a nice little alley. =)
And on Thursday, one of our assignments was to do street survey.. haha.. aka travel around the town! Haa.. love the girl, Becky =) If only everyone's this nice, down-to-earth and easy-going like her! Some people are just not as easy to get along with.. maybe because of culture difference or what..
To you: Jia you for first day of work! =) Love you.
Tu me manque!
Okay, as been reminded once and again, I'm supposed to treasure my time here to learn and speak and enjoy french.. I mean the french language and food and atmosphere and place. I love my host family this time round! They're really warm and friendly couple! Totally different from the what-you-think-a-french-is-like.. the people in this town's really nice. =) While I'm blogging away on their l'ordinateur, they're preparing dinner for us. Smelling really good! It's tartiflette for dinner tonight! Did I say that I ate a whole big stuffed squid yesterday for dinner and also a fish stuffed tomato a few days back? The host dad's really into cooking and he's good! =) They're really a loving and cute couple and it's really nice looking at them. =) Oh ya, they are Marc and Isabelle Buchmann. They have a cat too, called Zéla. Zéla was really scared of me at the start.. but after few days.. we got closer.. haha.. she lets me pat and tickle her. =) Cute!
Today is déja vendredi... almost a week's past. Two more weeks of schooling and another week of touring of Nice and Paris before I return to the hot and humid Singapore. Of course, more reasons this time round to return back to Singapore as compared to my SEP in Germany last year. Hahaa.. I so didn't want to go back Singapore that time. =P Oh well, this time round, of course I like France, despite of le crotte des chiens sur les rues, I miss more people back home.. =) Hahaa.. but I think I'm liking this place more and more.. maybe I should extend... haha.. nahh..
Need to get a job still... unless yc, he only need to decide which one to accept - I need to find one to take me in.
Next week, the new group of students from Singapore will arrive.. I wonder who are they!! Hahaa.. but well, I don't know the french class classmates that well as I did with my german class. =P
Take care!
I hung around there for like 3 hours before meeting CJ at Châtelet. I tried Quiche Lorraine, the speciality from Nancy, made our way to the poison shop showed in movie Ratatouille! Really looks the same lo!!!
Then, met up with Junyong for dinner at Quick and went for nice ice cream at Amorino. With the ice cream in hand... we went shopping for stuff before strolling to Notre Dame and eventually, via metro, to Eiffel Tower.
First day in Paris in 2008, my humble little SQ334 arrived 1 hour late at the Paris CDG airport Terminal 1. Thank you
Anissa and Chun Jian for coming =) The flight itself was enjoyable despite many occurances of turbulances and missing you dear. Ate Raclette and Tartelettes and also a nice meal at a nice cosy french restaurant for dinner and lunch yesterday. Tried the crêpes and macaron too! =) Hahaa.. too much food to try, but I guess the list of food to try will not extend any further since I'm down with sore throat... oh well...I was enjoying a nice relax afternoon at Jardin des plantes and Jardin du Luxembourg yesterday with Tim and Chun Jian and I was thinking, "I think my dear would like it here.. totally the 'wish you were here' feeling =) ." I'll be heading to Mont marte today and probably Champs-Élysée or Eiffel Tower later and enjoy aka. nua my afternoon away.
Do drop me a msg when you can cos I'm wondering if I'm not able to receive msg or wat... cos I couldn't call you somehow =(
Take care everyone.

As I walked up to my unit at 12+ am, after parting with jy & jh, a thought came to me:
It's really almost impossible to make someone independent or feel better by cutting off connections, unless you mean to cut off the connections forever.
to make someone feel better/independent refers to make someone not miss/think about you
cutting off connections refers to "disappearing/unreachable"
I should have realized it. It happened before, and it just kept recurring in different situations and with different people. Why did I not realize it? First time was way long ago while I was still a little girl wearing my brown uniform. That time, it was just a prolong disappearance, but luckily, we knew each other pretty well and that saved the friendship (of course, with much explanations) . Then it happened in Junior College, when me and my friend decided to encourage our very good friend to stay strong and less reliable on us/independent. We tried to reduce our sms replies, hoping that she'll try to make new friends and merge into the new environment. We thought, when we become less important to her, then can she lead a new school life. I think, she really did merge into the new environment, but we, our presences, really got flushed out of her world. Sad. Then came my exchange. He wanted to help me to, as usual, get used to my new German environment, and not be so mentally reliable on him, decided to decrease communication.. no sms replies.. no phone calls... to make things worse, I don't have Internet access. I think he did help me get used to my new environment.. however, he wasn't exactly part of it anymore.
I guess some things, once lost, is really hard to get it back. At least the first incident wasn't as bad as the others.. perhaps cos it's the one that happened th longest and has reached the "solution" stage. The other two.. perhaps not yet tackled or solved, but couldn't save anything much.
Never mind about the past, since it's already over... at least one thing for sure now.. I'll never use this method. Three times bitten, and I'm never using it, if ever, again.
As usual, today's another day spent out in town. Collected my visa and am really legal to go France. Yup, I've NOT started packing at all and I'm flying off Wednesday night. I think I've got a baggage left in Vietnam.. how to retrieve it and bring home? Hmm...
Then was shopping with mum =) Promised to be home for dinner later tonight .. haven't been eating at home much. Really.
Then was meeting with yj, yf, jy at City Hall. Decided to dine at The Soup Spoon and I decided to try the Pumpkin Soup Bread Bowl. =) It's nice and good to eat, since I'm really in a case of bad sore throat. It's probably sign telling me that I'm falling real sick. Feverish too.. must be all the sleep debts..
As mum puts it, "you're always falling sick just before you go overseas/travel!".
Dear mummy, I don't intended that. It just always so happen that I only travel/go overseas after a stressful period aka. exams.
Met Peggy & Joon Hong at JEC macs and chatted. Didn't really chatted much with peg though.. thanks for the handy pouch. =) I love the pink & black contrast.
I must get well...
I miss you .. will email when I wake up.. cmi already..
